 * My google adsense is saying “Earnings at risk – You need to fix some ads.txt
   file issues to avoid severe impact to your revenue.” And Google Adsense told
   me to download my ads.txt (which I did) and to Upload your ads.txt file to the
   root directory of your site. The root directory of a site is the directory or
   folder following the top level domain (example.com/ads.txt).

 * I am not super tech saavy and not sure I understand how to upload this to my
   root directory. Could you please help?
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fgoogle-adsense-issues%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Hi,
 * Thanks for reaching out.
 * Well, this is not something that is directly theme-related, but I can try to
   help up.
 * You need to access your Google Adsense account and generate the ads.txt file,
   then just download it onto your desktop and upload it inside the public_html
   folder of your hosting account.
 * You can upload the file using FTP or cPanel File Manager, just make sure that
   the file is located in the root folder, e.g. public_html or www.
 * Then just try accessing the file in your browser at [http://cilantroparsley.com/ads.txt](http://cilantroparsley.com/ads.txt)
   and if it displays the Error 404 page not found, just go to WP admin -> Setting-
   > Permalink and click Save changes to rebuild the permalinks and try again.
 * If the problem is still present right after, please get in touch with our support
   team here: [https://www.lyrathemes.com/support/](https://www.lyrathemes.com/support/)
 * All the best. 🙂

 * I am having a problem I can’t solve and have gone through the Adsense tutorials.
   I have an ad at the bottom of my homepage I can’t seem to delete and remove.
   There is a title above the ad “Footer for Google Adsense.” [](https://todayshomekitchen.com/)

 * Hi [@todayshomekitchen](https://wordpress.org/support/users/todayshomekitchen/),
 * Thanks for getting in touch- we really appreciate it.
 * Since this is a different type of issue, would you mind [creating a new topic](https://wordpress.org/support/theme/kale/#new-topic-0)
   with a link to the page this is occurring on? We’d love to help if there’s anything
   we can do on our end. 🙂
