# Google Analytics and WordPress Question

 * Ok, this might be a lame question but I thought I would ask anyway.
 * The question is that if I place the Google Analytics code in the footer of my
   WordPress blog ( like everyone else does ), will it track the visits to all the
   pages of my site including the static HTML pages which I have got in the public_html
   folder and not directly in the WordPress directory ? Or will it only track the
   posts and pages which are integrated within WordPress ?
 * What do you say ?

 * **It tracks where the code is.** Since you didnt mention having placed the code
   in the static html files, no it wont track those visits.

 * Could the same code be used in the static HTML files too ? I don;t want to mess
   with separate Analytics profiles.
