 * Hello,
 * I’m having an issue with getting google analytics working on my website [http://healthtalkpodcast.com](http://healthtalkpodcast.com).
 * I’ve inserted this code above the header:
    <script type=”text/javascript”>
 *  var _gaq = _gaq || [];
    _gaq.push([‘_setAccount’, ‘UA-41763144-1’]); _gaq.push([‘
   _trackPageview’]);
 *  (function() {
    var ga = document.createElement(‘script’); ga.type = ‘text/javascript’;
   ga.async = true; ga.src = (‘https:’ == document.location.protocol ? ‘[https://ssl&#8217](https://ssl&#8217);:‘
   [http://www&#8217](http://www&#8217);) + ‘.google-analytics.com/ga.js’; var s
   = document.getElementsByTagName(‘script’)[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);})();
 * </script>
 * And Google Analytics still says “Tracking Not Installed.”
 * Any ideas?
 * Thanks.

 * The script looks OK at a glance…make sure this is between the `<head>` and `</
   head>` tags in header.php and if using a caching plugin to flush cache.

 * [@seacoast](https://wordpress.org/support/users/seacoast/) Web Design – The script
   is definitely good.
 * I’m not seeing and <head> in the header.php. Do I add one and put the script
   it in between?
 * How do flush the cache?
 * Thanks.

 * My theme has a spot for code before the header so I had put the code in there
   and it worked on my other website.

 * Is this the same code from that site or does it have the unique **UA #** ?

 * It ended up finally kicking in overnight… just needed time.
 * Thanks for your help!
