 * Hello, I’m getting the following error when trying to configure Google analytics
   only (search console and tag manager works)
 *     ```wp-block-code
       Error: The response is not a valid JSON response.
       ```
 * I followed all the possible ways described here [Setup – Site Kit by Google](https://sitekit.withgoogle.com/documentation/troubleshooting/setup/#json),
   but no luck.
 * Any other suggestions please ?
 * Hi [@smanis](https://wordpress.org/support/users/smanis/),
 * Thanks for getting in touch, and sorry to hear you’ve been encountering problems
   setting up Analytics. The error you’re encountering is a generic WordPress error,
   which can be output elsewhere and not specific to the Site Kit plugin. So we
   can determine more on what’s happening in your case, please share the following:
    1. Your[ Site Health information](https://i.imgur.com/Rtkmsba.png). You can[ use this form](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1lhjns2K7c0Ny7ME4gxTcsnYtNUtcMr8BvFpPQi23Y1E/)
       to share privately if preferred.  Please include your hosting provider within
       the form where requested.
    2. Does this only occur if you select the option to create a new Analytics account
       or property, or does this appear as soon as you try to connect the module?
 * If the issue only occurs when selecting a new account, one workaround may be
   to create that account from [analytics.google.com](https://analytics.google.com),
   before then selecting it within Site Kit. When we encountered users reporting
   this issue previously, there was a hosting configuration impacting set up.
 * Let me know if you have any questions with the above.
 * Hello James,
 * I’ve shared the form privately.
 * The error occurs only when I’m trying to connect the module. The account already
   exists in Google analytics (both GA4 and UA properties).
 * Many thanks for the update [@smanis](https://wordpress.org/support/users/smanis/).
   I’ve reviewed your Site Health information and the screenshot you kindly shared.
   As nothing obvious stands out, please follow the steps below, which can help
   rule out third party plugin or browser related conflicts:
    1. Login to your live site from [a Chrome browser incognito wind](https://i.imgur.com/ALzgiHp.png)
       ow.
    2. Install and activate th[e Health Check & Troubleshooting plug](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check)
       in.
    3. Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
    4. From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and
       then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google“.
    5.  Attempt to connect the Analytics module once more.
 * Let me know how you get on with the above, or ask if you have any questions.
 * Hello [@jamesosborne](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jamesosborne/),
 * As I mentioned in my first post, I’ve already tried all possible solutions described
   here [Setup – Site Kit by Google](https://sitekit.withgoogle.com/documentation/troubleshooting/setup/#json).
 * None of the above did work for me
 * Thanks for the update [@smanis](https://wordpress.org/support/users/smanis/).
   If you’ve already performed a check using the Health Check & Troubleshooting
   plugin, let’s perform some checks with your hosting provider. I mention this
   as I don’t see any issue with your REST API when checking your public REST endpoints.
   The error you’re reporting typically related to such issues.
 * In order to troubleshoot this further, please check the following:
    1. If you have any other WordPress sites on the same hosting platform, or if you
       can create a blank WordPress site, please check can you complete Analytics set
       up on this site.
    2. Can you confirm there are no issues attempting setup with Analytics using [this temporary WordPress site](https://tastewp.org/plugins/google-site-kit/).
 * Hello [@jamesosborne](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jamesosborne/), I can
   confirm that I set up successfully using temporary site.
 * I will also try option 1 and get back to you
