 * Hello,
 * Months ago I switched my website to a multisite. Before I had a .com and now
I have a .com/fr and .com/de. Using the redirection plugin I redirected pages
of the .com to the .com/fr.
 * Yahoo search, bing and others understood correctly and display the .com/fr on
   their search engine.
 * But not google ! google still displaying the .com instead of the .com/fr !
 * What is wrong ? Why is google not as performant as bing and yahoo ?

 * This really has nothing to do with WordPress…
 * Why not ask Google about this?

 * I was thinking maybe there is something important to do when doing a redirection
from the root to a sub-directory or else google won’t move the site in his search
   engine.

 * I’d expect Google to pick up on the domain and subs after a time on its own.
 * Since it hasn’t I’d wonder why and it may be something that needs to be done
to make Google happy. WordPress will dutifully try to present the URLs it has
but has no sway with any search engines.
 * Are you using Yoast SEO? Sometimes Yoast will point out problems and it does
create sitemaps to help the search engines find their way. WordPress Menus and
the RSS feeds can help also and those are already there.
 * Google may not like something in your website that you need to know about and
Google is the authority on that.
