 * The google fonts are not available to me. How do I get a Google API for the plug-
in? I asssume that is what I am missing. I don’t see instructions for that and
I Googled Google API but am not sure what selections I need to make in the form
on the Google site. Help will greatly be appreciated!
    Sue

 * Hi Sue,
This plugin should still work without a google api key. Try this first:
    - In your WordPress Admin Area go to: **Settings > Google Fonts** and click
      the **Advanced Tab**.
    - Click the **Save Google API Key** button.
    - Now visit the Customizer by going to: **Appearence > Customize **and click
      the **Save Changes** button.
 * If that doesn’t work then you can sign up for a google api key by doing the following:
    1. Follow [these instructions](https://developers.google.com/fonts/docs/developer_api#Auth)
to get an API Key from google. Once you have an API key enter it in the settings
       page for this plugin.
    2. In your WordPress Admin Area go to: Settings > Google Fonts and click the Advanced
       Tab.
    3. Click the Save Google API Key button.
 * Please note: Google have recently updated this console admin and it looks like
they haven’t updated their instructions yet. Once you are in your console do
   the following:
    1. Hover over and click the Web Fonts Developer API link
        Click the Credentials
link located in the sidebar on the left hand side.
    2. Under the Public API heading button click the Create New Key button
    3. Select the Browser key button and click the Create button
    4. Copy the key that is generated into the admin area
 * Hope that helps, let me know how you get on.

 * I am having more problems than just the API code – I was able to get on by following
the directions on another post – but when I click Save Google API Key nothing
happens. And Customize is not showing up in Appearance. It does show up in the
dropdown from the site (as in your video) but when I try to change a font nothing
changes. I did totally uninstall and reinstall but that did not help. I would
really appreciate help getting this plug in to work on my site as it is the last
   step to getting this completed.
 * Thanks for such a prompt response!
