Title: Google authentication mixed message Last modified: February 26, 2017 --- # Google authentication mixed message * Resolved [Dinz](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dinz/) * (@dinz) * [9 years, 3 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/google-authentication-mixed-message/) * For multiple websites, I’ve authenticated with Google and yet on the Current Status page am still shown the message in red ‘Have not yet obtained an access token from Google – you need to authorise or re-authorise your connection to Google Drive.’ …even though the confirmation message post re-authentication in red states I have successfully authenticated. * This issue has arisen since changing these sites to https. * I updated the url in Google Credentials to https before authenticating and there have been no authentication error messages. * Now the backup files are accruing on the server instead of being uploaded to Google Drive. * Any tips on what I can do to make sure that these sites are authenticated so the files will upload to Google Drive? * Thanks in advance. This indicates that there is a deeper issue with the backups running. * Please could you access the site via FTP, and find any logs in the ‘wp-content/ updraft’ directory?
