# Google Custom Search Query String

 * Hi,
    I’ve set up google custom search on my website on an external page, and 
   changed the “name” value to “q”, the query term that google uses, in my “searchform.
   php” file. I then set up a custom page template and connected the search form
   to point to that page instead. However, now when I visit my custom search page,
   the title of the page that says “Search Results For: <term>” is now not calling
   the search term.
 * I’ve tried a whole bunch of things to get this to work, including trying to modify“
   get_search_query”, and now I’m stumped. Does anyone have any ideas on how to 
   get this working?

 * I was actually able to resolve this problem, and never closed this thread. I’ll
   post the solution on the thread posted by Herbie Hysteria above. Thanks! 😀
