# Google indexed “https://mysite.com/author/admin/”

 * Not sure if this is a question to ask of Equable Lite (whose theme is fantastic),
   but here goes: To my consternation, I see in Google that it is indexing and showing
   to people who Google for my site, this page: [https://frankmassaro.com/author/admin/](https://frankmassaro.com/author/admin/)
   
   I would much prefer this return a “404 not found”. I don’t want people to be 
   able to search within the website by author.

 * Regarding the page you don’t want in Google, this would require the page to have
   a noindex set which means the Google bots won’t index it. There are lots of articles,
   ironically, in Google that talkes about how to do this. One in particular is 
   based on the very popular plugin Yoast…

 * Not sure if you are using Yoast or not, but there are other options as well…
