# Google Map API key error

 * I’m running a local WordPress install (localhost) with the intention to export
   the site as a static website and deploying it online. Hence the reason I’m running
   it on localhost.
 * I want to insert Google Maps in my posts but I get the following error:
 * _Google Maps Platform rejected your request. The provided API key is invalid._
 * I currently use the plugin also on an online host and it works fine there.
 * Is the API key issue related to WordPress being on localhost or is something 
   else going on? Is there a way to fix it?

 * I’d like to let you know, this issue occurs when the address field is empty. 
   I have tried the same at our end on both local and live site and it seems to 
   be working fine.
 * Could you please confirm if your address field is empty or not?

 * You didn’t mention if it is the WordPress site address in WordPress settings 
   or the Google Map address. But in any case, they are all filled.

 * **It is solved:**
 * I think it was a port/router issue. After opening HTTP and HTTPS ports it started
   working after an hour or more. Cache had to clear.
