 * Just getting started with My Calendar plugin, going fairly well so far.
 * When it comes to using Google Maps, I’ve created an API Key and added it to the
   My Calendar settings; however, when I click the ‘View Location’ link on an event
   popup, it takes me to the location page but the map does not render, and instead
   displays an “Oops! Something went wrong.” error (see below).
 * Do you have any tips or suggestions for troubleshooting / resolution (I’m not
   particularly familiar with troubleshooting WP plugins, so any suggestions would
   be greatly appreciated).

 * A brief update, it seems latitude and longitude are required for the map to render;
   I had incorrectly assumed it would be determined from the address.
 * The error is not occurring; however, now the map does not draw. I just get a
   pin on a blank map canvas.

 * Hi Joe,
 * Thanks for responding. Here’s the link:

 * It looks like the map is rendering; but the map tile images are not visible.
   That can be caused by a wide variety of conflicts, so I’d start investigating
   but disabling all other plugins & switching temporarily to a default theme, to
   see whether one of your other applications is causing an issue. If the map shows
   up normal in that case, you can re-enable the other applications one at a time
   until it stops working.

 * Hi Joe,
 * I’ve done as suggested; switched to the Twenty Twenty-Four theme as well as disabled
   all plugins other than MyCalendar; no change.
 * This isn’t a capability that’s necessarily needed, is there a way mapping can
   just be disabled?

 * If you just remove your API key, then Google Maps won’t render.

 * Thanks. Not having a Google Maps API key results in a “You need a Google Maps
   API key to display the location map.” message being displayed on the location
   page, which is why I even went down the path of trying to get maps to work in
   the first place…

 * That message is only visible to logged-in administrators, so you can pretty much
   ignore it.

 * Ah, understood. I did just take a look in a browser window which I wasn’t signed
   in, no message…thank you for the assistance in getting things setup in a workable
   manner.
