 * Hi guys,
 * So ive created a new website for our company. The problem is, that the company
   all ready had a website. So what I did was just to change the content of the
   db and the place where you put the files, to keep the domain but with new content.
   However, when you search for our company at google it still shows all the old
   pages, and old links before any of the new pages:
 * 1) How can I remove those pages?
    2) I cant really figure out, why they rank
   higher that the new pages?
 * Best regards

 * That’s all perfectly normal.
 * Get a Google Search Console (used to be called Webmaster Tools) account. You
   can use it to remove old urls from Google, and check how well your new content
   is being indexed.
 * Install an XML sitemap plugin and uploaded your sitemap to Search Console to
   help Google (and other search engines) find your new pages quicker.
 * You might find a Redirects plugin useful, to help visitors find the page they
   were looking for.

 * Hello adsjerreram,
 * Using Google webmaster tools, you can fetch your site as google to ensure they
   are seeing your site correctly. Then using Webmaster tools ask Google to reconsider
   crawling your website, which should update their copy of it.
 * It is difficult to say why the ranking is higher (since Google does not divulge
   the nuances of its algorithm), but it often has to do with factors such as age
   of page, nature of traffic (how long visitors stay, whether they click through),
   etc. For more specific information, you can review your traffic statistics using
   Google Analytics.
