    Trying to activate Google Site Kit – as I try to log in via the Site Kit using my Google SSO credentials – it gives this error “unauthorized_client”. All three applications are set up (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Search Console) using the same google account as what I want to sign in to Site Kit. The domain is verified (it is a google domain). This same google account is also admin on the WordPress site. What am I missing?

    Thanks for opening a support topic. If you’d like to share the following information we can inspect your site and hopefully determine the cause:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. Do you have any geographic or other restrictions blocking access to your site?
    3. At what stage during the setup process does this occur (ie. Right after clicking on sign in with Google)?

    Many thanks for providing the additional information, the video was great to see what’s occuring. Before performing some checks with your current hosting platform can you share the following:

    1. Does setup proceed is you use another Google account and if so is the account which you were trying to connect associated with a Google Workspace organization, formerly G Suite?
    2. Does the same occur with a Chrome browser incognito window?
    3. Have you been able to setup Site Kit on this or any other site with the same hosting platform previously?

    I have same issue, I have been battling with this for over over 3 weeks. I have tried all you suggested above but no solution.

    1. Have you been able to setup Site Kit previously using the same Google account you’re trying to connect with?
    2. Are you a Google WorkSpace user?
    3. Have you tried to setup Site Kit using a different Google account?
