# Google structured data missing

 * I’m sure you must be aware by now that Google has made changes to it’s webmaster
   tools in how it tests sites for ranking purposes. Apparently, Google is testing
   for hAtom microformat in web pages. When I run my (static) site through the Google
   Structure Data Testing tool, I receive the errors – Error: Missing required field“
   updated”.
    Error: Missing required hCard “author”.
 * Has code been developed to pass this test for static sites? And if so, where 
   can I find it? I am using WordPress 3.7.4/Coraline v. 1.4.1

 * Coraline is an older theme that may not meet Google’s structured data guidelines.
 * One option is to create a child theme and add any modifications you like. This
   thread has some suggestions on how to do that:

 * Making a child theme means your tweaks won’t be overwritten when updating the
