    Hey guys,

How is it possible that Googlebot can identify the hidden WP-Admin URL? I saw it happen earlier today, because of which I changed the login URL again, and now in the evening, I am seeing Googlebot access the new URL.

    How the hell?

The IP addresses accessing it are genuine Google LLC. I’ve checked the Sitemap and the admin URL is not being indexed there.

    Hello,

Thanks for using WPS Hide Login.

Google bots crawl your database. Then, they can find your secret slug.

You can prevent them from crawling this page (and anyone else) with your robots.txt (example : Noindex (or Disallow): /secret-slug

Sorry for the false alarm mate. I figured it out eventually. I was trying a new theme out and because I forgot to disable comments on some of my older posts, the posts themselves showed a “You must be logged in to comment” string, which had a login URL attached to it.
