# Got error -1 from table handler

   today is showing the following error at the top of the page:
 * WordPress database error: [Got error -1 from table handler]
    SELECT DISTINCT *
   FROM wp_posts WHERE 1=1 AND post_date_gmt <= ‘2005-11-10 18:01:59’ AND (post_status
   = “publish” OR post_author = 1 AND post_status != ‘draft’ AND post_status != ‘
   static’) GROUP BY wp_posts.ID ORDER BY post_date DESC LIMIT 0, 5
 * No posts are shown on the page. When I log in and go to Manage posts, I see the
   same error, and no posts are shown in the list.
 * Repairing the tables didn’t help.
 * I’m running WP 1.5.2, with the Connections 1.0 theme (images modded). No plug
   ins.
 * The site was working normally yesterday, and I have not made any site changes
   in the mean time (although maybe one of the users tried to make a post. That 
   I’m not sure about).
 * Thanks in advance for any/all help you can give me. I’ve never had an error with
   my WP blogs before, so I don’t even know where to start to try and fix this.
 * (I tried to search the forums, but I couldn’t find any posts for error -1; I 
   found a lot for error 28, but this is a different error number.)

 * Hmmm… I kept refreshing the page, and then I would get a error -1 and then an
   error 28. It was switching back and forth. So I contacted my host and told them
   that I was getting the mySQL error 28 (space) error (thinking if they could resolve
   the 28 error, then we could focus on the -1 error), and five minutes later the
   problem had dissappeared.
 * Now the site seems to be working fine. I wonder if the -1 error is the same thing
   as the 28 error, and the host was able to fix it.
 * I dunno. But I guess its working now, and I don’t know what fixed it, or I’d 
   tell you.
 * If I find out that it was indeed my host that solved the problem, I’ll post back
   so others may know what worked for me.
