 * Hi, I am missing something here and am hoping you can help me out. I’ve created
   two groups whom I want to restrict access to posts. Meaning when one group is
   logged in, I only want to see posts applicable to them and likewise for the other
   group. These groups have the same capability of “group_read_posts”.
 * So when I post, I guess would expect to see an option restrict by group, but
   instead the restriction is by capability of “group_read_posts”. If I select that,
   both groups I’ve setup can read the posts.
 * I’ve tried created superfluous capability for each group and then in the options
   area made those capabilities as options to restrict access thinking that would
   do it, but whenever I login as a user who is a member of either group, each user
   is able to see material restricted to the other group.
 * what am I missing here?
 * thanks!
 * PS, the shortcode to control access within the post works great, but still shows
   the post title, etc.. so that really doesn’t solve my problem.

 * Hi,
 * Have a look at the video on [this page](http://www.itthinx.com/plugins/groups-woocommerce/)
   from 1:30, you create a capability per group and use access restrictions based
   on these.
 * Cheers

 * Ok, looking for some clarification. So this plugin does not show the list of
   Groups in the Add New Post screen? From the description it sounds like it does
   that. But really it only shows Capabilities in the Add New Post screen. So in
   that case for every Group you have to create a Capability and then add that Capability
   to the Group. Seems a bit redundant if you are creating Groups regularly. So
   my question is, is it possible to create a Capability automatically when a Group
   is created or viceversa with the same name? Otherwise is it possible to just
   show the Groups list in the Add New Screen? I’m sure there are users that want
   the functionality of restricting posts by Group and adding users to a Group for
   view restriction purpose. Basically the requirement is to create a Custom Field
   that applies both to a Post Type and User Profile so that Posts can be filtered/
   queried based on the user meta of the person logging in and only show posts for
   that user.
    I understand this is a free plugin and maybe asking too much.
