Guest author not working

Hi,

I made a guest account for a writer, and when I try to assign an article just to them, it half works. At the bottom of my Jnews theme page, it has the author box with the correct name. However, at the top, it has my name, not the guest author. Looking at the article, it has the guest author’s name, but under it says:

This option is showing because you do not have a WordPress user selected as an author. For some tasks, it can be helpful to have a user selected here. This user will not be visible on the front of your site.

However, it is visible on the site, and when I try to remove it, it always reappears. Any suggestions?
