 * Hi, whenever someone posts as “guest” the author of that respective post appears
   as the admin acc (aliansikoin). It was working fine until last week. Not sure
   if this is the reason but I guess it started after I updated the plugin.
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fguest-post-author-changes%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * Hello [@ehwang90](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ehwang90/),
 * I have reproduced the issue from my end and the actual post author name is there
   and am unable to reproduce the issue.
 * Can you please check if you have [this part enabled](https://prnt.sc/p9nez9).
   If this is enabled and you are still facing the issue, please share with me the
   version of your WPUF plugin.

 * The thing is that I don’t want guest users to automatically register an account.
   I wanted to leave it open for anyone to post anything without any ties to the
   website. It was working fine before…
 * I don’t have that box checked and the version is 3.1.10
 * PS: Sorry, I had the guest option turned off when you accessed the website

 * Hello [@ehwang90](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ehwang90/),
 * Author name of the post can only be seen if the author of the post is a registered
   user. Otherwise, the author of the post will be admin.
 * If you remove the checkbox from [here](https://prnt.sc/pa3hsn). Then all the
   guest users can post in your site without any email and therefore they will not
   be registered in your account and the post author will be admin.
 * So if there is any post from an author who is not registered in your site, the
   post author will be automatically set to admin by default. It will be unavailable
   to set a post author’s original name, when you do not allow WPUF to collect the
   name of the author.
 * Regards,
