# GZIP problem

 * Hi, I have checked this option: Compress pages so they’re served more quickly
   to visitors. (Recommended).
 * But still pingdom website shows me that gzip is not enabled… and htaccess didn’t
   change.

   it is flawed. It will show poorer scores when you serve brotli compressed, which
   is a better compression format.
    To check gzip, brotli, and uncompressed headers,
   use KeyCDN’s excellent online curl tool: [https://tools.keycdn.com/curl](https://tools.keycdn.com/curl)
