# header issue

 * I am trying to edit the text on my header, specifically to add a new phone number.
   
   Whilst i can locate the image, my logo, i can find no text anywhere. Any help
   would be greatly appreciated. In my appearance menu on the editor pge i have 
   no option for header, just to customise the theme or change the theme, however
   going into these offers no solution either. do i need a new plugin?

 * Your currently used `ff-theme` theme is not in the wordpress.org/themes/ directory.
   –
   If this was a custom theme, you may have to go back to your developer team and
   ask them to make the necessary change(s) to the theme. – For pro or commercial
   product support please contact the author directly on their site. – As the author
   is aware, commercial products are [not supported in these forums](https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/forum-welcome/#do-not-post-about-commercial-products).
   As you are their customer I am sure they will have no problem supporting you 
   there.
 * Consider creating a [child theme](https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes) otherwise
   all your customization will be overwritten when you next update your theme.
 * Alternately:
    – If your theme has a custom CSS option, use that to add the CSS.–
   If you are using WordPress 4.7+, use the “Additional CSS” option in the customizer.–
   If not, install the plugin [Simple Custom CSS](https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/)

 * Contacting the theme developer is not an option.
    How would I create a child 
   theme? Would this transfer all esxisting content etc or would it be starting 
   from new?

 * Ok, but I know nothing about code. Is this an issue?
    Will I lose all current
   SEO work?
