# Header.php Changes Not Making a Difference

 * I’m trying to edit my header.php to include Google Analytics tracking.
 * I tried adding it to the header.php under Appearance Theme Editor but when I 
   saved it and inspected my site I couldn’t see the code there and it wasn’t tracking.
 * I use the Child Theme Wizard to create a child theme, copied over the header.
   php file and replicated it in the activated CHild Theme.
 * Once saved, it still can’t be seen on my site and still not tracking.

 * Disable any caching plugins as changes in the PHP might not make it through the
   cache. Once you see the right stuff, you can re-enable caching.

 * Thanks Steve, I’ve dasbled caching and purged it and I still can’t see it on 
   the live site.

 * Are you sure your child theme header.php gets loaded at all?
 * I recommend asking at [https://wordpress.org/support/theme/astra#new-post](https://wordpress.org/support/theme/astra#new-post)
   so the theme’s developers and support community can help you with this.
 * Also note that there are a gazillion plugins that will add Google tracking to
   your site.
