    Hello,

I was just informed by our IT team that this plugin seems to be causing a heavy traffic load on our site/server. They say:

“I found that the IP address 38.124.66.139 had hit your site 289 times, and that 120 of these hits were to an admin-ajax call on the site. The specific admin-ajax call being hit was the SimpleHistoryNewRowsNotifier action which appears to be related to the simple-history plugin that’s installed on this site.”

Does this sound like normal behavior of the plugin?

    Thanks,
    Jason

It depends on what you mean by heavy traffic load. If you have the Simple History page opened in a browser tab it does check the server for any new events and shows you a message if any is found. That’s what the ajax call is for. It should however be a pretty light query that is done on the server to check for new events.
