# Roles in WordPress

 * Where I work there are several departments that are legally separate organizations,
   but are all under one roof. I think multi-site looks like it will be the solution
   for me. Is it possible for it to take on the form of domain\department1, domain.
   com\department2… rather than department1.domain.com, department2.domain.com
 * I was assigned to move an old IIS website to wordpress. I am an IT guy not a 
   web developer so I am hoping for some friendly direction here. With IIS I was
   able to set up ACLs for everyone, WordPress was not my choice.
 * In an ideal world, I would to have the site setup so that all workers can write
   drafts but only the departmental heads could publish; is that possible?

 * Thanks got multi-site working.
 * I wish wordpress had a wrapper for the customizer so that super-admins could 
   toggle what is site wide appearance and local. EG have a site wide header and
   main navigation bar. But per-site customization of the sidebar and branding.
 * I have been accomplishing that by almost rewriting the entire theme, and a bunch
   of plug ins. But it seems like more work than it should be.
