 * I’ve been helping a friend update her wordpress site… we’ve made several changes…

   I was attempting to add a favicon, but I haven’t been able to figure it out.
   I added a bit of code to the bottom of the functions.php file, then deleted it…
   I didn’t think I changed any things else in that file, but now I get this message“
   Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/isaiah/public_html/new/wp-
   content/themes/preference-lite/functions.php on line 651” and the entire site
   is off-line! (I’m feeling a little ill…) I can’t do anything except use the back
   button to get to the functions.php file. I can’t go to any other page in the
   dashboard, etc. I would be EVER SO GRATEFUL if someone can tell me what I’ve
   done! Thank you!

 * Download a new copy of the theme to your local computer and replace that functions
   file with the new one. If you can’t do it via the Dashboard, you can use FTP
   to do so.

 * Re-upload a fresh, unpacked, copy of the Twenty Twelve folder to wp-content/themes
   using [FTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients) or whatever file management
   application your host provides.

 * Ahhhh…Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I can breathe now! LOL! I had to go
   through the FTP to do it, but it worked! (I know just enough to be dangerous
   I’m afraid…) Thank you for being so quick and helpful! Now to figure out the
   Favicon. Do you have any suggestions for that? Right now – if you look at their
   page
    [http://isaiah61international.org/en/](http://isaiah61international.org/en/)
   They have this yellow “W” favicon. How can you tell where that file is stored?
   I’ve poked around in the FTP, but don’t see where it could be and as I mentioned
   have followed a couple of tutorials to no avail… Thank you again!

 * That’s odd.. This is what I’m seeing

   I’m almost wondering if it’s a WordPress thing – where it’s a “W”

 * It can take a few days for favicon changes to show up in any browser. Perhaps
   it was removed a day or so ago and that change isn’t showing up in your browser
   yet?

 * Well, I’ll run through the steps and leave it for a week then… I have plenty
   of other things to work on… thank you!

 * Have you reviewed [Creating_a_Favicon](http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Favicon)?
