# Error message on my site

   with wordpress**.org** to ask a question to.
 * I’m receiving an error message when trying to edit my website that I cannot figure
   out.
 * It says: There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site
   admin email inbox for instructions.

 * Also a note – the email address for the admin account is incorrect but I cannot
   get to the page to fix that either.

 * There is no dedicated support for you to contact. There is no email and no phone
   support. Please be wary of _anyone contacting you for support_ as there as a 
   lot of scammers out there. Sadly.
 * The only support is here on these volunteer support forums.
 * Onto your problem: Do you know which host company you are paying for hosting 
   your site?
 * The error message you are getting when you visit /wp-admin/ on your site means
   something is crashing and that could be a plugin or your theme.
 * If you can contact your host support then they may be able to direct you to where
   you can view some useful error log about what is really going on you site.

 * I do not.. our company just took over this website and we did not originally 
   develop it.
