Hi, I attempted to add a code to my php functions and it didn’t work and caused my page not to load at all. I went back to the editor and deleted the code I added (and nothing else) and my site still won’t load. Neither will my WordPress dashboard. Can someone help me? My entire site is down. Please and thank you.

    My website is http://inthenewhouse.com

never, never, never edit code from appearance -> editor. now you know why.

Do you have a backup of the file from before you edited it? If so, use FTP to replace it.

I have the files from when I downloaded my theme but I don’t know how to replace things. And I can’t even get into my dashboard to change it.

I found a tutorial for how to add the code I used on this support site and the user said it worked for them. But it did not for me. How can I fix it if I can’t get into my dashboard?

I can’t get into my dashboard at all. Can someone please help me asap? I have an event for my online store starting very soon.

Use FTP to replace the theme folder with an unedited copy.

See Filezilla and FTP Clients « WordPress Codex. Or use your web host’s file manager in your control panel.

Ok, so things got worse. I went through my cPanel to do the FTP and was having trouble so I chatted with Bluehost helpdesk to help me fix the problem and get me to the FTP upload. Well, they deleted all my plugins, my entire woocommerce store, and theme. Then they tried to do a backup and it wouldn’t work. Is there any hope for me?

My theme vendor fixed. Thanks to you both for the FTP info.
