• My website is completely down and I can’t access the admin page. This is what it says, whether I go to my site or to the admin login: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class TwitterAPIExchange in /home/content/65/11221965/html/wp-content/plugins/wd-twitter-feed/includes/twitter-api-exchange.php on line 3

Need site up and running asap. Can someone please tell me how to resolve this?? Thanks!

  • Either your twitter plugin is calling the same class twice… or you have two plugins which are calling the exact same class name.

This results in a fatal error.

In order to get back up and running, follow these steps.

    1. Using either FTP or your hosts cPanel, navigate to the “wp-content/plugins” directory.
    2. Locate the “wd-twitter-feed” folder.
    3. Either rename this folder, or delete it altogether.

This will force deactivate (or delete) the “WD Twitter Feed” plugin, which is causing your issue.

Once you have done that, you will be able to successfully log back into your website.

    Thank you for that help.

I had the same experience and managed to take down our site.
