Help locating proper template

    With thousands of templates and search results not productive, HELP!

    I am trying to create a static website (not a blog). It will describe the services I can provide and also contain a section of software programs I have written, each with a download button.

    I see various ways I can describe my services and software, but the download button is the problem.

    I see the e-commerce templates, but I don’t need a cart or anything about money. I just want something really simple.

    Please recommend a template that I can modify to suit my needs.

    I answered my own question. You can use any template. Create the image of a button and put it in the Media Library. Click “Copy URL to clipboard”, place the button on any page or post, click the link icon, and paste the link in from the clipboard. If a link points to a file, it will be downloaded.
