# help locking user profile

 * Hi all,
 * I set up a wordpress blog ( [http://adayonearth.org](http://adayonearth.org))
   where many people will use the same user account to blog.
 * I’d like to lock (of freeze) the user profile so that no one can change the common
   user account ( somebody already changed the profile during a test period to redirect
   to its own home page 🙁 )
 * I found a plugin called “Freeze users” that lock the password, but I’d need to
   lock other fields too ( mail, homepage, ….)
 * Thanks for your help

 * As a matter of fact I edited the user-edit.php file and commented out all code
   showing the fields I do not want users to change.

 * as a matter of fact, I edited profile.php too ( duplicate code in profile.php
   and user-edit.php)
