# Help me implement this layout

 * Hi I installed a WordPress blog on my server and I am trying to develop my site
   and implementing an HTML layout my friend made for me. So I try editing the default
   theme’s header code using the WP Dashboard’s theme editor. All I can say is the
   code is so complicated to edit, and it won’t allow me to change colors with HTML
   tags, it only allows me to change colors on the CSS. I am very frustrated trying
   to implement a simple HTML layout.

 * So I need a straightforward tutorial on the basics of editing the default theme
   layout of WordPress. Or if you’re willing to help me some other way. I just need
   to get this project going.

 * All presentational information is **supposed** to remain in the CSS file – not
   the HTML.

 * But I reccomend getting a good basic understanding of [html and css](http://www.w3schools.com/)
   before.
