# Help! "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING"

 * I tried to add a Gogle Authorship into my Function php file today. It didn’ work,
   so I removed it- but I can’t do ANYTHING in my dashboard now, every page says
   only “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in C:\inetpub\vhosts\omeletta.
   com\httpdocs\wp-content\themes\pilcrow\functions.php on line 40”
 * I have no idea what to do.

   and I’m running Pilcrow theme.

 * You’ll need to replace that functions file – download a new copy of your theme
   to your local computer from here:
 * [http://wordpress.org/themes/pilcrow](http://wordpress.org/themes/pilcrow)
 * Then **using FTP or Cpanel**, find the theme folder and the file and replace 
   the old one with a new un-messed-up version:
 *     ```
       wp-content
           themes
              pilcrow
                  functions.php REPLACE THIS FILE
       ```

 * Just to clarify: I can’t upload that new file to the Editor from Dashboard, correct?
   I have to upload it via the FTP?
