# Help – plugin wants API key

 * I’ve read that the API key is included in the Welcome email you get from WordPress
   when you sign up for an account . . . but I installed WordPress through my webhost,
   via Fantastico, and I didn’t get a welcome email. Now I’m trying to install a
   plugin and I have no API key. What do I do?

 * I just created an identical wordpress.com account and the API key worked on the
   wordpress.org blog.
