Help understanding Discussion Settings

    Hi, I want to set this so all new people are subscriber who comments need approval. I want to set some people as Contributors who comments do not need approval.

    On the Discussion Settings do I check out boxes?

    Before a comment appears
    Before a comment appears Comment must be manually approved
    Comment author must have a previously approved comment
