# Help using external URL

 * I’d like to use the external URL feature to kick off backup jobs from a cron 
   job. When I enable this feature for a backup job and then go to that URL, I can
   confirm that the backup is successful. However if I attempt to kick off that 
   command from a command line using `curl [external_url]` it does not work. Is 
   there some special argument I need to pass to curl for this to execute properly?

 * Advanced WordPress Facebook to the rescue! I needed to wrap [external_url] with
   single quotes. All set.
