# Help with PHP Version Update

 * I need to update my PHP version because the current one is causing issues. I’ve
   read the guide, but I’m not sure where to start. Could you clarify the steps 
   I should follow?

   you will have to start with your host. If you are using CPanel, there’s an option
   for you to choose the PHP version. If you don’t have that option, you may need
   to reach out to your host’s support.
   Word of caution, changing your PHP version
   might cause inadvertent errors on your site. Always tread lightly, and check 
   the front-end, test all pages, forms, and functions when proceeding with the 
   PHP update. You may need to test the PHP version on a staging version of your
   site to be extra careful.Mind me asking, where are you currently hosting your
   website?

   provider in the next few months.
