 * For this plugin there is not, but I just released an alert bar plugin that is
   non COVID specific that does have that ability. [https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-alert-bar/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-alert-bar/)
 * If you need it specifically for the COVID alert bar I have add that for you and
   pushed an update. Once you update the plugin via the Plugins page of the Dashboard
   you will see a checkbox in the customizer under Call to Action Link that will
   allow you to have the link open in a new tab.
