 * Hi,
 * I have added the signup form to my sidebar. For the list I’m recruiting for,
   I have a hidden field called “Source” with a default merge tag value called “
   widget”. However, when I test the form, the hidden field doesn’t seem to be working
   and recording the “widget” value against the name on the list.
 * Any thoughts on this?
    Thanks, Paul

 * Hey Paul!
 * It’s good to hear from you. I certainly understand the need to add that hidden
   field to your form to see where people had signed up.
 * Sadly, there won’t be an easy, built-in method for pre-populating a hidden field
   in the plugin. However, it’s worth noting that signups from the plugin will actually
   have their own signup source, which will be **“Social Proxy for MailChimp.” **
 * Another option might be to try utilizing MailChimp’s embed code, which is generally
   easier to manipulate for including a pre-populated, hidden field. Here’s a helpful
   article that explains how:
 * Add Code to Get Location Information from Signup Forms: [http://eepurl.com/SKbn](http://eepurl.com/SKbn)
 * That said, these two previous threads may interest you, as they include some
   possible suggestions for trying to make that work with the plugin (although the
   embed code option remains our recommendation):

 * Thanks. I have tried the solution in the first link, although I can’t seem to
   get it to work.
 * I have an embedded form elsewhere on my site, but I would like to have the widget
   as well. I keep looking for a solution.
 * Thanks,
    Paul
