 * On my WPForms Lite simple-contact form, the send / submit button is visible only
   when the mouse pointer is over it, otherwise hidden. This may be an old problem
   as I didn’t notice when it started happening.

 * Hi [@iborohist](https://wordpress.org/support/users/iborohist/),
 * Thanks for reaching out!
 * Inspecting the submit button on [https://erdiburn.org/contact-2/](https://erdiburn.org/contact-2/),
   I could see the issue is because you added custom CSS which removed the border-
   color, color, and background-color from that button.
 * To solve the issue, the best action would be to remove that custom CSS code.
 * But if you cannot locate that code, you can try with a new CSS snippet. For this,
   I would recommend taking a look at our [guide about customizing the Submit button](https://wpforms.com/docs/how-to-customize-the-submit-button/).
   Here’s a CSS snippet that may work for you:
 *     ```wp-block-code
       .wpforms-form input[type=submit],
       .wpforms-form button[type=submit] {
           background-color: #eee !important; /* Grey background */
           border: 1px solid #ddd !important; /* Dark grey border */
           color: #333 !important; /* Black text color */
           font-size: 1em !important; /* Size of text */
           padding: 15px 45px !important; /* Distance between text and border */
       }

       .wpforms-form input[type=submit]:hover,
       .wpforms-form input[type=submit]:active,
       .wpforms-form button[type=submit]:hover,
       .wpforms-form button[type=submit]:active,
       .wpforms-form .wpforms-page-button:hover,
       .wpforms-form .wpforms-page-button:active {
           background-color: #ff0000 !important; /* Darker grey background */
           border: 1px solid #ccc !important; /* Lighter grey border */
       }
       ```
 * For your reference, I created the following screencast showing the issue, and
   fixing it with the CSS snippet above: [https://a.supportally.com/v/PERS2t](https://a.supportally.com/v/PERS2t).
 * And in case it helps, here’s a tutorial on [how to add custom CSS like this to your site](https://wpforms.com/developers/how-to-add-custom-css-styles-for-wpforms/).
 * Hope this helps!
 * Thanks [@rsouzaam](https://wordpress.org/support/users/rsouzaam/) for looking
   at this for me. You tell me “the issue is because you added custom CSS which
   removed the border-color, color, and background-color from that button.” but
   I have not added such code ever. Agreed that using “inspect” on the contact-2
   page shows a lot of suspect attributes but it’s not my CSS. The article “Customizing
   the Submit Button” seems very much like the code snippet you’ve offered me and
   it does not appear to address my problem. I’ve written to the forum because my
   knowledge is severely limited, sorry!
 * Now I’ve been back to the site as WordPress admin and I’ve selected WPForms builder–
   +Add New ; Select Template – Simple Contact Form. Made no changes, clicked Preview.
   The Submit button is invisible until I hover the mouse over where I know it should
   be and it appears as an outline button with black text.
   I’m using Sydney theme.
 * Hi [@iborohist](https://wordpress.org/support/users/iborohist/),
 * Thanks for the information!
 * Inspecting the submit button, the CSS causing the issue is within **(index)**(
   screenshot: [https://a.supportally.com/i/xlWGrg](https://a.supportally.com/i/xlWGrg)),
   and most of this time this is related to custom CSS snippets. If you didn’t add
   that code, it was added for someone or a plugin.
 * If the CSS snippet that I shared in my message didn’t work for you, it looks
   like there might be a conflict between the forms and the site theme or another
   plugin. To troubleshoot this, please try the steps described in our detailed
   guide on [how to test for plugin/theme conflicts](https://wpforms.com/docs/how-to-test-for-theme-or-plugin-conflicts/).
 * Hi [@iborohist](https://wordpress.org/support/users/iborohist/),
 * I must use your advice and search for a conflict, but I must rebuild my localhost
   copy with up-to-date versions and being an amateur that will take me some time.
   Sorry I went quiet on you.
 * Hi [@iborohist](https://wordpress.org/support/users/iborohist/),
 * Thanks for getting back to us!
 * I really believe you will be able to address the issue if you test for a conflict
   by following the steps described in our guide on [how to test for plugin/theme conflicts](https://wpforms.com/docs/how-to-test-for-theme-or-plugin-conflicts/).
 * Thanks!
 * Thank you [@rsouzaam](https://wordpress.org/support/users/rsouzaam/). I have
   taken a localhost copy and followed the check for conflicts. Definitely a conflict
   between the Sydney theme and the WPForms plugin. So that’s a result.
   It’s going
   to take an enormous amount of work to change the theme, it’s a fairly large website
   now. I wonder if the team at aThemes can help? I notice that their pro version
   cites a ready-made contacts page, but our club can’t justify the cost of pro
   as we don’t make money from our website.
 * Thanks again for your patience.
 * Hi [@iborohist](https://wordpress.org/support/users/iborohist/),
 * Thanks for letting me know about the conflict with the Sidney theme.
 * Based on this, I’d recommend either of the following options:
 * 1) You could reach out to the theme’s author/support team ([https://wordpress.org/support/theme/sydney/](https://wordpress.org/support/theme/sydney/))
   to share details of the conflict this theme seems to be causing. They’d hopefully
   be able to help!
 * 2) If feasible, you could switch to a different on your site. Before doing this,
   it’s a good idea to create a [backup of your site](http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/7-best-wordpress-backup-plugins-compared-pros-and-cons/).
 * I hope this helps!
