 * So far I love Flutter. It seems like an awesome way to provide some more CMS
control for pages. I’ve used it to create custom layouts for pages with multiple
   editable areas.
 * I was wondering if it possible to hide the link that is created on the left in
the Admin Panel. Every time you create a write panel it makes a new “button”
for that write Panel. It is put in the same area as the Posts, Media, Links,
Pages and Comments buttons are held.
 * As far as I have been able to find, Flutter’s settings allows you to “hide” the
default Posts and Pages buttons in the Admin panel, but it won’t let you hide
the new write panel buttons the plug-in creates. I’d like to create these new
Write Panels for specific pages, but I don’t want the buttons to show up. I want
the client to only use the Pages button.
 * The problem is if I create tons of custom Write Panels for different pages, then
there will be tons of extra buttons on the Admin Panel that I don’t need. Anyone
know if you can stop these from being added to the Admin Panel?

 * I’ve switched to Magic Fields. They have a solution to the problem above. The
guys at Magic Fields are moving a lot faster in development and are very helpful
   in their forums.

 * I am curious about Magic Fields and will try it out. However, I had a site already
built with Flutter and needed to remove some write panels that only some users
should see — and it turns out Flutter is built to work with this Role Manager
   plugin.
 * So once I created a new role group and assigned users to it — then I was able
to get the left navigation only showing the write panel buttons that that group
   should have access to.

 * Magic Fields supports the use of Role Manager as well. I highly recommend switching
to Magic Fields. The developers are actively developing this plugin, unlike the
   Flutter guys.

 * Hi David, big fan of Magic Fields also but I have the issue with all the extra
buttons appearing in the Admin Panel that I don’t need. I can use another plugin
to tidy up the admin navigation but it’s not ideal. You mentioned a solution
to this issue can be found on [http://magicfields.org/](http://magicfields.org/)
but I can’t find it? Do you have a direct link for this solution at all? Bestest

 * Doh, I just realised I could easily achieve what I needed to do by checking the‘
Condense Menu’ in the Magic Fields settings. Sometimes the simple answers are
   easy to overlook.

 * Paul, I’m glad to hear you found the solution. _Condense Menu_ is exactly what
   you were looking for.

 * Hey guys. Just thought I’d mention that I’ve switched from Flutter to Magic Fields
too and have found the white-label-cms plugin to work in beautifully with it.
Basically it lets you hide all the other less-used admin navigation links, so
you can strip it right down to only Magic Fields showing – great for client’s
   websites.

 * Thanks for the tip jahwork10. Here’s the plugin URL if someone comes looking
   for it.

 * Thanks guys. I use the admin menu editor ([http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/admin-menu-editor/](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/admin-menu-editor/))
for full customisation of the menu but will definitely give White Label CMS a
bash to make the admin really sparkle clean for my clients! Cheers.

 * Just an update, I’ve also found a new plugin that gives you even more control
on what you can hide. I’m probably going to use a combination of these plugins
for admin panel branding and access control.
