Hey there robot88888888,
How are you doing today?
This should be possible with individual post protection out of a box.
Please go to Membership 2 -> Add-ons and activate Individual Post add-on, see screenshot http://screencast.com/t/fVQwuXDzDkB.
After that go to Membership 2 -> Protection Rules, click on posts and protect single post with one of your membership levels, http://screencast.com/t/ag7wroFzu.
Those posts in recent post widget will not be displayed to users that are not having access to that level, see screenshot http://screencast.com/t/SfsPfIPt6.
Hope this helps 🙂
Cheers,
Bojan
Awesome…and it even gets rid of the Recent Posts box when all the posts are protected!
Is there a way to default all future posts to be protected?
For what it’s worth, it would be nice to have an add-on to hide the Recent Posts widget…or maybe hide all widgets when a visitor isn’t logged in. With the above solution, I needed to go through several pages of posts to enable protection. However, it wasn’t too bad since we only have 14 pages at this point.
Thanks for the great plugin by the way! 🙂
Hey again,
Is there a way to default all future posts to be protected?
Not really, at least in the current version of the plugin.
However, there is a handy meta box when creating posts that allows you to do that from the post page in your admin area instead of going to protection rules. To do that go to Post -> Add New and click on enable protection and simply activate level on which this will be protected see screenshot http://screencast.com/t/JidxxDDBI.
Hope this helps and have a great weekend! 🙂
Cheers,
Bojan
No problem, thanks for your help!
