 * How can I hide the permalink or slug from the url?
    I changed jobs to company.
 * Today is:
    homepage.com/company/companyname
 * I want:
    homepage.com/companyname

 * After researching this a bit more, it appears you cannot have an empty slug:

 * However, you *may* be able to use this filter:
 * [https://codex.wordpress.org/Plugin_API/Filter_Reference/post_type_link](https://codex.wordpress.org/Plugin_API/Filter_Reference/post_type_link)
 * … to change the links for a custom post type to essentially not use the slug 
   at all.
