# Hide Wiki Posts?

 * I’m working on populating a lexicon of my stories and there are some ideas that
   I don’t want my readers to see yet for fear of spoiling plot lines. But I’m creating
   a very complex world that I’d like to keep all my notes in one place and not
   have to worry about transferring information over to the Lexicon.
 * Is there a way to hide a wiki page/post and when I’m ready to make it public
   I can “unlock” it? I tried the visibility option of making it “private”, but
   on the front side of the wiki site, I would have thought that if I was an admin,
   the page would still be visible and in the wiki index in the left margin. However,
   it is not. I only want the page to be invisible to those who are not logged into
   the site. Does that make any sense?
 * On my other WP website, I’ve created a “members only” area by using the plugin“
   WP-Members” by Chad Butler. This plugin allows me to block content per page and
   per post. I was hoping if I installed this plugin, I would have that same option
   available on a wiki post, thereby controlling visibility based on login status
   and per wiki page. However, that option is not available on the wiki page editor
   on the admin side.
 * Do you have an alternative solution? Or is there a feature of the wiki plugin
   that I’m missing, which will give me the flexibility to do the above?
 * Thank you!

 * Hey there Arial Burnz,
 * Hope you’re well today!
 * Currently the only way you can do that with only using Wiki plugin is to set
   the post as private.
 * The post will be displayed in archive page but it will not be displayed in the
   widget. This is the default behavior of the private posts same as recent posts
   set as private will not display in the recent posts widget.
 * Alternatively you could use some of the membership plugins such as the one you
   mentioned (I’m not familiar with that plugin, most likely it doesn’t support
   protecting custom post types) or one of our premium plugins such as [Protected Content](https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/protected-content/)
   which will allow you to protect custom post type posts and much more.
 * Hope this helps 🙂
 * Best regards,
    Bojan
