 * Hi
    I have modified and hidden some elements of my wordpress using the wp hide&
   security enhancer plugin, will it affect security or malware scanning using wordfence?
   And will it affect the functionality (like blocking etc) of your plugins? Thank
   you

 * Hi [@mushlih](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mushlih/)
 * When you modify default WordPress behaviour then there is the possibility that
   you can potentially break your theme and other plugins. You will need to test
   that the scanner can run a scan and complete. You can also test blocking your
   IP address in Wordfence and set a very short block time to make sure that blocking
   is working as expected.

 * Hi
    I don’t think there are any broken themes or plugins, but I don’t know your
   plugins How do I block my own IP? Because I never block the IP unless wordfence
   blocks it Thank you

 * Hi [@mushlih](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mushlih/)
 * Thank you for the update.
 * I am not saying that you might have a broken theme or plugins, but when you use
   a plugin that modifies default WordPress behaviour like the **_“wp hide & security
   enhancer plugin”_** you mentioned then the possibility exists that the changes
   this plugin makes may break your theme or any other plugins that you use.
 * You can test blocking by logging in to WordPress in one internet browser.
 * In the **_Brute Force Protection_** section on the **_All Options_** page you
   can set a short lock out time of 5 minutes in the option **_Amount of time a
   user is locked out_**.
 * In another internet browser login with your correct username but with an incorrect
   password repeatedly until you are locked out.
 * You can either wait for the lock out to expire or in your normal internet browser
   open the **_Firewall_** >> **_Blocking_** page to unblock the lock out for your
   IP address.

 * Yes, it worked and blocked me
    Does that mean “wp hide & security enhancer” plugin
   is not causing problems with your plugin?

 * Hi [@mushlih](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mushlih/)
 * Thank you for the update.
 * I can’t say as I have never used that plugin but when you use more than one security
   plugin then there is the possibility that conflicts can arise and the “wp hide&
   security enhancer” plugin could break Wordfence functionality.

 * Have you used the plugin before and caused an error with your plugin?
