# Home – Random Posts

 * Thanks for using Donovan.
 * WordPress Core does not support to display random posts by default, I’m sorry.
   You have to look for a plugin for that kind of functionality, or develop a custom
   solution.
 * The theme does only display the main database query in a post loop, but the main
   query itself is part of WordPress Core. The only thing you can change there is
   the number of posts, on Settings > Reading in your WordPress backend. So you 
   have to extend that Core database query if you want posts to be randomly displayed.
