 * downloaded the latest nightly to see what was happening lately and installed
   it on a subdomain.
    i noticed that the new install interface doesn’t request
   the domain for the site. when the time came to log in directly after the install
   i was taken to an address that while on the right host was ofcourse completely
   innacurate. is the idea that the install is to recognise a domain? i’m hosted
   on lyceu.net and have had no previous problem with the install, though these
   have all requested the address. rob.

 * just to expand.
    the result page is displayed and a passowrd is allocated. the
   login page is reached via the link, though the css has snapped, login links but
   to a plain text ‘no input file specified’. the tables are there, but then they
   were specified manually, wp-settings seems to miss when finding the necessary
   details for the domain (and browser?). when opening the site it says, again in
   plain text, welcome to (the host). rob.
