# How cache options work?

 * Hi, I would understand how cache option work in ASA1. I set Cache Lifetime in
   12 hours, this means that every 12 hours plugin refresh cache for all asin used
   by plugin in the site (thousands) in one time? Is this server cpu consuming?
   
   Or the cache is refreshed only when a visitor open a page?

 * Only the requested products will be reloaded when a user visits a site after 
   the cache lifetime has expired. Not all products of all pages at one time.
 * You can automate the product reloading with cronjobs with ASA 2 ([https://getasa2.com/](https://getasa2.com/)).
