 * Is there a way to allow my client to edit the index.php page via the wp cms?
When I go to ‘Pages’, only ‘About’ shows as an editable file.
 * I’m using wpframework. wp version 2.9.2
 * I’m comfortable with html/css, so I can change code within the page, if need
be – just need to know how.
 * I’ve dug around for hours and haven’t found a resource. Thank you in advance!

 * I’m guessing you mean permitting the client to edit the theme files. Unless the
client is knowledgeable in PHP, that’s Not A Good Idea ™ as it’s very easy to
create a typo and break the installation.
 * What is the client trying to accomplish? I mean, what/why does the client wish
   to edit.

 * I’m sorry I wasn’t clear. The client wants a cms so they can edit all the pages
of their website, including the home page (specials, events, etc). It will be
a regular website, not a blog.
 * In other words, I’d like the home page to be index.php, so it will be found by
google, etc, and also editable by the client in the cms. To have it show up in
the ‘Pages’ list along with ‘About’ in dashboard > pages > edit. I will design
the home page to be different than the other pages, as well.
 * Finding a theme that already has this set up would be fine also. I’m not attached
   to coding it myself.
 * Thank you so much for your help!

 * Also, I am open to using other frameworks or themes.

 * By default of not finding resources for this, it seems that the index.php file
is not editable using the cms.
 * As I said, I’m new to WP, and am used to organizing a website structure personally.
Now I see that the index.php file is not the same in a cms as it is in regular
   websites.
