How does the workflow work?

I’ve been using the plugin for a week or so now.
So far 13 carts have been abandoned.Today 2 people recovered their cart – Great!
One problem though, one of the two their order failed. Yet your plugin says it’s recovered, completed and I recovered some β¬60 euros. Which I didn’t because one order failed. Some issue with the creditcard.
Regardless of that, how is the recovery supposed to work?
In this case, the original order was “Failed” because or some creditcard issue.
Now during the recovery, the user got a NEW order (new number) which also failed.Cart Abandonment says it’s a recovered order and shows odd stats.
But now I have 2 failed orders from that user.Shouldn’t the recovery actually recover the original order instead of making a new one? And shouldn’t Cart Abandonment not check if the order actually gets paid and completes before claiming it’s recovered and done?
What happens next when this person wants to try a 3rd time? Another new order?
Or is it actually going to recover the original or 2nd order this time?I guess I don’t really get why the plugin creates new orders.
And why it assumes a recovery is a success, even when it isn’t.Some room for improvement here π
