# How Does Trackbacking Work?

 * Hey again guys,
 * Just wondering, how exactly do trackbacks work?
 * I know they’re good but I just noticed how to feature them on posts now.
 * So, when I put the URLs in the trackback box on the bottom of the post edit screen,
   will the URLs I’m linking back to see that I trackbacked or linked back to them?
 * For example: In one of my articles I put the URL of a an article written on nj.
   com (NewJersey.com) in the little box that says “send trackbacks” on top of it.
   So, will the author of the nj.com article see that I linked back to him?
